DETCOG Prepaid Debit Card

for Utility Reimbursements

​​Utility Reimbursement (UR) are deposited directly onto a prepaid Visa Debit Card for your convenience!

Funds will be deposited into your account on the second business day of each month.  If you are currently receiving a quarterly reimbursement, deposits to your new prepaid Visa Debit Card will continue to be made quarterly until your next Annual Recertification; deposits will be made monthly thereafter.


DETCOG has partnered with U.S. Bank to issue your new prepaid Visa Debit card. Please take note that it will arrive by U.S. Mail in a plain, white envelope.  Once you receive your new card, activation is required.

The prepaid Visa Debit Card is for families who qualify for and receive a monthly utility reimbursement.

  • You can also get cash back with purchases at participating merchants or withdraw cash at ATMs, banks or credit unions

  • More security as funds can only be accessed using a password (PIN)

  • U.S. Bank representatives can assist you 24 hours per day and 7 days per week via
    internet and toll-free number
